Quality of Life

Flexing some new business muscle in the world of fitness

London-based Personal Trainer John Evans knew he had some stiff competition when he created his company Quality of Life. The city is crammed full of those wanting to help the nation get in shape. John however, had a head start with his experience and pedigree and it was a pleasure to work with him from the very beginning on brand creation, web and print.

Adaptable brand

With John’s input, I decided to keep the brand very simple but modern and easily recognisable. For the logo I deliberately used only two colours, meaning it could be easily reversed to work across multiple media.

Knowing the QOL brand would eventually be used on clothing and other merchandise meant a design element such as the ‘swoosh’ would come in handy later on.

Ship-shape online

Quality of Life’s web presence needed to be clean and simple. It needed to clearly inform but also make use of a private members area where John could upload tailored documents and video for subscribers. Above all it needed to banish any fear of exercise and be clear about the benefits.

Something to think about

With the nature of John’s business meaning he often works in different locations, printed material would prove to be a key tool in building more working relationships. Flyers could take the form of a regularly updated template, or reflect a particular topic or concern.
